Project Overview

ProPrint is a B2B, E-commerce printing company.

I was tasked to design 2 proposal pages – the Homepage and the Product page.

Understanding Business Objectives

The clients requirements were to have a site that enables Users to order their printing services easily and one that is unique in design.

Page Objectives

Homepage:

The homepage was aimed at the following:

–      Displaying ProPrint’s products at the top so that the User can get an immediate look at what the company does.

–      Allow the User to Log in or create an account with ProPrint.

–      Allow the User to access customer support easily.

–      Educating the User on how the order process works.

–      Allow the User to get started on the process of selecting an order item.

–      Showcase featured products.

–      Allow the User access the Products page.

–      Allow the User to order a featured product.

Product page:

The Product page was aimed at the following:

–  Enable the User to view high-resolution images of the product, input specific order requirements, and place an order, review turnaround information, read product reviews from verified buyers and chat directly with customer support by clicking the chat icon.

User Interview

The questions were centered around the following topics :-

  • Online printing services

  • Quality printing services in terms of output and delivery timelines

  • Variety of printing services

  • The process of ordering printing services

  • Ordering printing services offline

Affinity Mapping

This stage of the project was crucial in identifying recurring issues and patterns.

Defining the Problem

Users want a hassle free, reliable, easy to use and quick printing option that helps them to achieve their project timelines and deliver work to clients on time.

Solving the Problem

Printing Services + Online = Online Printing Services

By combining printing services with the ease of ordering a service via an app or website, Users can simply order printing services online and achieve their project objectives in a timely, reliable manner.

Researching the Market

I took a day to research and collate samples of online printing websites and apps that were visually appealing and had features that I could reference.

Developing the User Flow

Low Fidelity Wireframes

This stage was crucial in strategizing the information architecture and visual elements to consider.I began by sketching wireframes for the desktop version of the product and then I proceeded to sketch the wireframes for the app version.

High Fidelity Wireframes + User Testing

Due to time constraints, I was only able to conduct testing with one User. The following is what the User had to say about the Home page : When I click the order button on the bottle image, nothing happens , it's good, the interface is clean and easy to use.

Although the site was not yet active, I am glad the User was prompted to click the CTA button when they wanted to make an order.

User Case Example

The User should be able to:

  • Navigate the entire site by clicking the menu button at the top left.

  • Visit the products page by clicking the Get Started CTA button.

  • View items in their cat by clicking the cart icon.
